At Element Martial Arts, we recognise that children learn and develop at different rates depending on their age. Our junior classes are thoughtfully structured around key developmental stages to ensure every student receives age-appropriate coaching that supports both their physical and personal growth:
- Parents + Kids Class (Toddlers+)
- Mini Monkeys (3–6 years)
- Tiny Tigers (6–9 years)
- Little Lions (9–12 years)
- Teens
Parents + Kids
This class is designed to introduce young children to fitness, movement and martial arts in a positive, supportive environment. Through movement-based games and an introduction to fundamental self-defence, parents and children train side by side, building connection, confidence and a lifelong love of activity from the very start.
Mini Monkeys (3–6 years) and Tiny Tigers (6–9 years)
These classes are structured around three core developmental components:
- Attention and Listening Skills (15 minutes) — Dedicated time to build focus, discipline and the ability to follow instruction, laying the groundwork for both martial arts training and everyday life.
- Motor and Coordination Skills (15 minutes) — Engaging activities and games designed to develop balance, agility and physical coordination.
- Skill-Based Martial Arts Training (15 minutes) — Hands-on instruction in fundamental martial arts techniques, helping students build a solid technical foundation.
Little Lions and Teens
As students progress through the program, class time increasingly shifts toward dedicated martial arts training. By the Little Lions and Teens levels, sessions are predominantly focused on refining technique, building proficiency and preparing students for more advanced practice.
